A reputable non-bank financial institution is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person for the position of Credit Control Officer.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
• Ensure prompt and accurate pairing of all remittances in software • Ensure accurate monthly statements are sent partners promptly • Undertake quarterly reconciliation of balances with partners • Produce a quarterly schedule of outstanding balances for the supervisor's review • Ensure demand letters are sent to partners who do not adhere to payment terms • Ensure conciliation of partner balances in technical and accounting software • Produce a monthly report on the activities of the credit control unit • Ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances of minimize impairment provision • Any other duty that may be relevant to the performance of the credit control function
Qualification Required & Experience
• Good university Degree in Accounting or Finance • Partly qualified with ACCA, ICA or CIMA • Must have a minimum of 2 years work experience, especially in credit control. Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
