Hello!
I want to open a small hair salon and work there alone at first.
Do you think I should find a manicurist too, so it looks more like a beauty salon and offers more services?
Or should I try working alone first and see how it goes?
Thanks!

Hire a manicurist and an aesthetician for waxing and sugaring

  • Are you applying caution because of the size amd value of the market you anticipate to serve or the size of the capital you're investing. If both of... these favour you then the standards and quality you start with will set the tone and base of your picking and business flow. Start with best not to taste the waters but to announce your entry.  more

  • Its good you wish to start your own business. Like all ventures its best to start small and test the waters as operations goes on. Business have... operational expenses (Rent, Light, supplies) that have to be met either weekly or monthly. Does your customers need a manicurist?. What arrangement will you have with the manucurist?(partnership or wages). This is my take, since you wish to start small, hold on with the manicurist first, run the business for sometime and see how things go. Alternatively you can put manicurist services by appointment only so that you are able to streamline the services. All the best. more

  • I would do both. Start with established salon and see how they run their business. Make friends with coworkers and learn from them. Then start your... own business, first alone then hire more people because you will need to so you make more money more

  • Are you going as Sole Proprietor or
LLC ? It might be good to set this up first.

Then you can add people to your LLC, which is the way I went... with my music business, Kennard Music.
Yes, it might be better to start with your services. Is it at your house or have you have a place to go?
    Rent space ??
