Its good you wish to start your own business. Like all ventures its best to start small and test the waters as operations goes on. Business have... operational expenses (Rent, Light, supplies) that have to be met either weekly or monthly. Does your customers need a manicurist?. What arrangement will you have with the manucurist?(partnership or wages). This is my take, since you wish to start small, hold on with the manicurist first, run the business for sometime and see how things go. I would do both. Start with established salon and see how they run their business. Make friends with coworkers and learn from them. Then start your... own business, first alone then hire more people because you will need to so you make more money more

Are you going as Sole Proprietor or
LLC ? It might be good to set this up first.
