I am a shift supervisor at a refinery for 5 years. Well in doing my job i have to communicate with engineers and others to get things done. However, that is becoming harder because they seem to be hesitant to talk to me. I am a Black male , 6'5" tall , about 330lbs and i have deep voice. I can not change none of those things but the weight, Lol. However things are becoming harder for me because i feel i have to try to appear softer when asking questions. I have talked to my boss about this and he has talked to them on a broad base about communication eithin the team. However, after 1 week everythi g has went bavk to the way it was. Some suggestions would be appreciated.
