  • Make a plan. Write down what you can offer to a prospective employer. Make sure you have your plan looked over by someone that is in the field you... wish employment. Be flexible. Think out of the box. Look at other fields that you may likewise apply for a job that may be directly or indirectly related to your degree. Don't give up. It may take dozens of rejections until one hits. Try networking as much as you can. Anyone you meet is a potential link to someone that may hire you. The neighbor, the grocery clerk, the mailman, anyone. You don't know who they know. Remember, many times it is not how much you know but who you know. Good luck. more

  • true looking for the job these days is another course all together however don't quit the game for searching for the job.

  • Frustrating for sure, but you are a beginner in the game. Find a mentor or coach to assess your efforts and give guidance. Successful people are... said to have a greater capacity to hear a “no” and continue on in their pursuits not be stopped by them. Good advice from someone here to get a job to pay the bills while you continue to search for what you want.  more

  • While searching, look inwards and get busy building something. Put it online, a personal website perhaps. As simple as an article on a concept in... your field. Even an "attempt at" building a good portfolio should improve your chances. It could take a while, but leave "frustration" outside the door. You will get there. more

Stay positive, stay focused, it will come. more

  • Good day, Karabo. Do not feel depressed. You are not doing bad. After school the transition to industry is not always smooth and out expectation... sometimes might not be the reality. If you are someone from the finance background you have to start mapping your career projection and what you want in the coming years. What are the industry requirement and what do you possess now?.
I commend your effort in trying to secure internships and graduate trainee programs. Keep applying and polishing your skills by taking up online courses to upgrade your skills. In the interim, take your online presence seriously, share your skills and follow experts in the industry as well as reading relevant materials. Volunteer with a group or two. Tell them you can handle their finances and prepare their books. I will leave some of the resources for you to enroll and some online volunteer platforms. Think about some other skills that you have and also begin to improve upon them.
