Fulltime
I can't speak about workspaces from a long-term perspective as a young professional, but I have been hearing more people talking about burnout, self-care, and hustle culture as part of orientation trainings and workplace health and ongoing well-being. This is a good thing, but it also makes me wonder if the need has become norm because workplace culture, for so long, believed that hustling was the only way to work "successfully".
Do you find it hard to rest and do non-work related activities for fun, connection, and pure personal pleasure? Why do you think that is, for you, or society in general? Is the Kenyan context pro-hustle to begin with?
