KEY RESPONSIBILIITIES:

Ensure that the project’s gender and inclusion policy and other relevant gender and inclusion principles, policies and regulations are applied consistently throughout the project cycle. 
Provide technical expertise and inputs on women’s empowerment and gender mainstreaming related to project’s objectives and activities, to project leadership, team leads, and the Communications and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) focal points. 
Oversee the mainstreaming of gender and inclusion activities and considerations into the project work plan, MEL and branding and communication plan and adjust implementation strategies and activities in consultation with team leads to be responsive to issues identified during the gender and inclusion analysis. 
Provide technical guidance across the various objectives and outcomes of the project to ensure mainstreaming of gender and inclusion in project strategies and activities. 
Ensure inclusion of gender-sensitive indicators in the MEL plan and collection of disaggregated data by sex, age, etc. and support KCB Foundation MEL Manager with compilation, analysis and interpretation of gender and inclusion issues
Conduct regular gender and inclusion assessments to measure progress and adapt project strategies and activities. 
In collaboration with the Project Manager, develop a capacity building plan and mentor and train project staff, partners and other stakeholders on mainstreaming women issues, tools, policies, and practices. Job Description Document 
Identify and document successful practices in the project that can be showcased in publications, communication materials and conferences. 
Prepare communications materials that highlight the project’s gender programming, and inclusion related initiatives, their successes, and lessons learned in collaboration with the Communications Manager; and, 
Ensure coordination between the project and BMG Foundation on issues related to gender equality, women’s empowerment and social inclusion.
