2 years ago I asked for help from my family, I needed to buy equipments so that I can start a small business God willing I received that help. My business isn't fully operational and have been working from home which makes it easy for my family to keep track of each client I render my services to and they want me to be using each penny I make to buy glossaries at home.
I'm trying to save so that I can expand my business but I hear them say they helped so that I can be providing neccesitates at home.
I'm fade up and right now I feel like handing over all the equipment to them cause I feel like I can't tolerate it anymore.
Kindly advice.

  • Ask for me money so that you meet your savings needs to expand your business, if they cannot give you tell them you will start helping out when you... scale up your business.

If they do give you, scale up your business and you can treat their help as a loan you pay back. Obviously you won't neglect some duties or bills you are able to undertake.

  • You can't grow when you are within the perimeters of biological home, if you have your own family as well. Secondly, did down and plan accordingly to... cater for all sides.  more

  • I think you need to sit down and see how much you are making from the business, plan accordingly, and try to ask them how much they would like you to... contribute. If it takes a lot of money from your business, tell them you cannot afford it. more

  • Just look for other source of income to expand your business as you help your family.

  • Bro it's good to make decisions about what you are very sure to.
They are your parents, meaning you reserve the right to use their resources to... develop. Try to tell them your goal and if they refuse to listen, do the needful.
Your well being help them too

  • How old are you if I may ask?

  • I know how it feels like when people support you at first but don't see the bigger picture later on. You can come up with a reasonable plan like to... give then 20% of your earnings from each customer, spend 10% to your needs and save 70% towards expanding your business. Keep a cash book to record everything. And don't give up. You need now to be strong for yourself where they had been giving you strength. Later on when you will have many more clients and probably you'll be charging the clients more the 20% will be much more to them and once you've rented a place to conduct your business you can always restructure those percentages to maybe give them 30% since by then you will be making more. All the best more

  • You can try something like:

“I truly appreciate the help you gave me to start my business. I want to support the family, but if I use all the income... for groceries, the business won’t grow and none of us will benefit in the long run. Can we agree on a plan that lets me reinvest for now, so I can help even more in the future?”
