DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Collection Development: developing, organizing and maintaining library collections.
Cataloging and Classification: carrying out cataloging and classification of all library resources using Moys Classification Scheme.
Acquisition of Information Materials: Managing the acquisition of new information resources  in the library as well as input new data into the inventory and ensure a current and accurate inventory of all library materials.
Accessioning and Stamping of books
Providing instruction and guidance for the use of library, legal databases, legal research methodology and procedures.
Knowledge Facilitation
Reference and Research Assistance
Legal Database Management: Oversee legal databases and electronic resources, ensuring proper organization, functionality, and accessibility. 
Legal Information Literacy: Collaborate with legal educators to integrate information literacy into legal education programs, fostering effective research skills among lawyers.
Administration and Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the library, including budget management, and the implementation of library policies.
Responsible for conserving and preserving information materials to prevent mutilation and damage.
Ensuring the library remains clean and conducive for users.
