Job Summary


We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant with at least 1 year of experience to join our finance team. 
The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day accounting operations while gaining hands-on experience in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.


Responsibilities


Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations.
Accounts Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and budget tracking.
Compliance & Documentation: Support the finance team in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
Audit Preparation: Help prepare financial documents and schedules required for audits.
Expense Tracking: Monitor office expenses and ensure all expense claims are properly documented and processed.
Data Entry & Reconciliation: Carry out accurate data entry of accounting information and assist with reconciling discrepancies.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance manager and other departments to support smooth financial operations.


Requirements


Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Willingness to learn and grow in a professional finance environment.
