Key Responsibilities

Formulate comprehensive business strategies that leverage open API technology to enhance customer experience, drive revenue growth, and gain a competitive edge.
Define the API product strategy and roadmap.
Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships with fintechs, banks, technology providers, and other stakeholders to expand the ecosystem of open API solutions.
Negotiate and finalize agreements with partners to ensure mutually beneficial collaborations.
Lead cross-functional teams in developing innovative fintech products and services, utilizing open API architecture.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements.
Work closely with the compliance and risk management teams to ensure that all open API initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Implement robust risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the integrity and security of financial data.
Provide strategic guidance and direction to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor and manage the financial performance of open API initiatives, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring profitability and sustainability.
Represent KCB in industry events, conferences, and forums to advocate for open API adoption and establish the organization as a thought leader in the fintech space.

The Person
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

A bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or any other related field from a recognized university
Professional Qualifications and Relevant certifications in a technical field e.g. Product Management/Project Management/ AGILE Practices
Master’s degree in technology or business-related field will be an additional advantage. 
At least five (5) years’ experience in leading digital channels and managing teams, including experience in the following:
5 years in Integrations and Open APIs
5 years in Developing fintech products and services, utilizing open APIs architecture.
4 years in Building relationships with Banks, Fintechs and Telcos 
3 years in Project/Product Management 
3 years in  People management
3 years in financial services, Sales & Service
