Responsibilities:

Technical support and troubleshooting according to maintenance schedule at Bakery.
Responsible for the preventive Plant maintenance of Bakery.
Provide on the job training to Apprentices and ensure that all apprentices are skilled in accordance with training.
Ensure that plant and system upgrades are performed in accordance with project plan.
Conduct system maintenance in accordance with stipulated plant checks

Qualification Requirements

Matric
N3/N4 Qualification in Relevant field
Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal)

Experience Requirements

3-5 years’ experience in relevant trade
5 years’ experience in a FMCG environment
Experience with High-Speed Continuous operations

Key Outputs

To anticipate possible machine reliability problems, which could appear and take appropriate actions to ensure manufacturing process continuity
To facilitate and lead problem solving processes; provide inputs/suggestions to the maintenance team leader for continuous improvement
To record and analyse breakdown trends per machine using a maintenance system to motivate equipment improvement or purchases
To render support on ad hoc projects e.g., renovate and refurbish machines/installations and commission to optimize process flow
To ensure compliance with relevant Food Safety, Health Safety and GMP Requirements through the maintenance of process and document controls according to SOP’s
To provide on job coaching for Handyman and Apprentices as and when required in line with Premier’s Leadership promise
To supervise, train and coach Technical Operators regarding SOP’s and work instructions to ensure best operating practices
