I was inducted as HoD this new year. I prepared a working document, containing great suggestions from members, subject for discussion during upcoming dept. meeting. Two members just hinted me that the previous HoD commented at my back that I wasn't cooperative back then, but now I expect others to cooperate, "leadership by example". Although angry at such a lie against me, I didn't show it but told them, at our next meeting it'll be addressed. Thinking about it, is she trying to divert the whole department attention from what we ought to develop, to her own selfish interest ? Must I address this or ignore her and move forward?
I need advice on what to do, please.
