Create a WIX website and give your clients the link. Also, there are bidding sites to get clients.

  • Why do you say without showing them my portfolio, they need to see it to know if they want to book you first.
If you want clients to reach out to... you, there needs to be a place where they can go to see your work and then you offer a CTA on the page more

  • People buy from the ones they like when photography being such a competitive market you should consider having a webpage with testimonials from... clients and a way to display some of your work. Seeing is believing!  more

  • You don't. That's not how it works. If the question is : How do i get my first client? You make a facebook or instagram page that clearly shows you... are a real person, things like going live, doing videos, tagging people and having people tag you, and you post pictures of your photography equipment to show you are a photographer, and then you DM 1000 people and offer a free shoot. You keep doing free shoots and posting the models while tagging them on social media, so everyone knows its legit. They will then come to you and when they come to you, you can charge for your services. more

  • Top tip from a person who knows a lot about Sales… you’re not selling yourself. You’re selling something else entirely to your customers; is it the... experience of feeling glamorous when they look at their wedding photos? Is it peace of mind to relax and enjoy their swing, knowing you’re going to deliver the goods to their social media team in time for Monday mornings post corporate golf event?
Think of it like retail goods…
You and your equipment are the manufacturing/distribution/logistics, your photos are your saleable product; but what you’re selling to your customers is not the product… the product itself is the solution to your customers PROBLEM.
Understand what problem you’re solving for them and how you’re solving it; and THATS what you sell…

And you do it by using a script a bit like
“imagine x and how you’re going to feel when y happens”
Then tell them what you’re worth and don’t be shy about it. Undervalue yourself and they undervalue your work.

  • I like what tia says. I am a photographer as well but my living doesn't depend on it. I've tried several social platforms to make myself known but I... didn't get too far. So I just continue expressing myself through my photography and don't care about response. I believe that when time is right it is going happen. But I know an artist photographer in France who post his work on public structures that are quite unreachable. For example, there is a bridge and up high on a tower there is his photo pasted onto it. I have no idea how he does it but viewing his work is quite amazing amazing experience. The world is his gallery.... more
