MAIN FUNCTIONS

The Wells Advisor job role is meant to convey the generic kinds of experiences and skill proficiencies of a late- career/ Expert-competency level individual in this role. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Resources should be well versed in drilling, well, or construction operations. Wells Advisors typically have expertise in one or more job family

skills and serve as resources to mentor and develop the broader organization. Wells Advisors are essential in order to mentor and advise drilling and completion engineers on well planning, well design, and operational surveillance for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 must


Mentor and interface with less-experienced drilling and completion engineers.
Provide oversight of Drilling programs, and ensure continuity and consistency in practices across multiple rig lines.
Interface with Affiliate / Business Unit on Logistics, Environmental, Regulatory, Procurement and Cost Stewardship activities.
Develop and lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies.
Make continuous effort to improve efficiencies in Drilling and Completion operations.
Participate in vendor clarifications, FAT’s and package acceptance
Review and respond to spec deviation requests
Review drawings and specifications
Address human factors engineering as well as safety of personnel and equipment (in conjunction with
Topsides and/or O&M contractor)
Assist in development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test procedures
Support construction and commissioning efforts as required


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Civil preferably)
Advanced analytical and computing skills
Experienc erequired in construction site management, preferably familiar with Drilling well site design
Adaptability to changing priorities
Extensive experience in Drilling Rig development including FEED, Detail Design, Construction and Commissioning
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to organize and progress own work schedule
Experience working within multi-disciplined team environment involving multiple stakeholders
Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO)
Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations


Specific Requirements


Extensive experience as Subsurface Operations Consultant with following skills:
Geomechanics (1D/3D) - wellbore stability analysis (IHQ/QRA)
Shallow hazard evaluation and site survey assessment
Well planning and real-time surveillance
Subsurface data technical support
Logging – while – drilling and wireline logging operations
Wellbore positioning and planning
Formation evaluation & petrophysical analysis (Cased hole and open hole)
Manage pressure drilling planning (MPD)
Opportunity generation and Drill well execution
Mudlogging and sample administration
WITS setup and configuration and Real- Time Operating Center (RTOC)
