Use trusted freelance platforms to advertise your services and... ensure you learn how to get visible in a short time. The truth is that time is changing and the traditional employment route may not work as effectively as you think so you need to work with the times. If selling your services doesn't work, draw up a content schedule and teach the skill to the world and let the platforms pay you for views.

Technology is changing many things. Today we can take good quality pictures and videos right from our phones. The demand for your work is decreasing... and changing. You can look around to see where else you can use your skills or what other skills are necessary for your next endeavor. Staying within your current skill set, you can look around to see how these needs are being met. For example, if you network with party planners at large hotels, you will find they are constantly arranging photographers for weddings, birthdays and meetings. Schools arrange for graduation pictures and hospitals arrange for baby pictures. As suggested elsewhere, you can start as a free lancer and start networking. Practice with a coworker or well-wisher. Refine your presentation to make an impact in a short time.

They will tell you to keep it to two pages. Make sure your LinkedIn profile matches your resume as many companies compare the two to make sure they match. It’s also important to tailor your cover letter and resume to fit the job you’re applying to. Push out the negative thoughts about age and having been incarcerated - they don’t help. Try not to get discouraged by those rejection form letters - typically its the ATS nonsense weeding out strong candidates. Do go on LinkedIn and look at their free courses- you might find resume help or cover letter tips. If you can connect with a recruiter they can be very helpful. Chin up and good luck!  more

Also if there are free classes or cheap classes like continuing education or enrichment classes, take those, do you have some experience from the... outside that you have learned,so you can put that on your resume and also apply to second chance jobs. And take a job adjacent too, Employers are also looking at the fact that you haven't worked since you been out, if that is your current situation. Whatever other skills you may have to get a job, if you don't have one, just get some type of work under your belt, see previous post. Sir/Ma'am majority, Men, anyway, yes and you are older, that's it. If you have that experience try a re-entry program in your area. Nowadays they have... a lot of resources and opportunities for returning citizens. Also try non-profits and if you have that much experience freelance and start your own business. Also plenty of resources for entrepreneurs. We don't know your the crime you served time for but also that may be taken into consideration. If that may also be the case, and you are fit look into construction, demo, custom auto paint, wraps, tire recycling, etcetera. Some fields could careless about your past. Find those.
