I can relate to that. I have had to quit 3 jobs due to horrible bosses. 1 I quit because my boss always accusing me of making sexual advances towards... his daughter. Not a chance she bore a close resemblance to Godzilla lol. The 2nd job I quit since my supervisor was actually the owners nephew who didn't know what he was doing. I had worked there for 10 years before it was sold to another company and I knew more about the operation than my so called supervisor. Each time he screwed up he would blame me and I got in trouble. Then the last job I quit I was constantly being belittled and put down and made to feel worthless no matter how much I tried. The final straw was when I slipped on the ice and fell and got hurt. Instead of seeing if I was ok I got shit for trying to do my job and called stupid. The next day I ended up in the hospital with a blood clot in my bowel and had to have emergency surgery. I have never looked back on quitting any of these jobs.  more

  • Sorry, I meant to say oRRRRRRRRRRR

  • The last job that I had was in 1991. I quit due to my ignorant and selfish boss, only to be called back to replace him a couple of months later. I... enjoyed the work for a time, but the lack of respect from the owner of the company and his son was the final straw. I haven't worked for anyone else since. Instead, I put my time into building my own businesses, and now my son is running his own company. It's best to keep it in the family. The family unit has been devastated by corporate exploitation. Parents aren't teaching their children skills. Instead, they are relying on a predatory system to educate and employ them. It is irrational at best.
I see this insanity far too often, and the lack of personal responsibility is taking it's toll.

  • One of my favorite jobs was extremely difficult and had a higher turnover rate. But I loved helping people in need, especially troubled children who... were seen as dangerous to others, but I saw as helpless and afraid. I quit because upper management was racist, demeaning, and often times sexually inappropriate.  more

  • I quit my job my first job because I was constantly being belittled and put down and made to feel worthless no matter how much I tried. The boss... wanted to kill my career. He started by killing my self esteem. Any contribution I made sounded like rubbish to him.I left the second one because the boss wanted me to work on my day of worship. more

  • I agree. I also think that employees don't quit their jobs, the employers quit them. Human beings are meant to expand and create. You can't do that... crammed in a metaphoric and literal cubical. Job descriptions are modern day shackles for slave labor. more

  • My manager sexually assaulted me for weeks. Fired me because I didn't want to be maltreated. Each time I speak out, he punished me double. I finally... was able to speak out to his superiors, and they all ganged up on me even with my 🧾 evidence  more

  • It's 99% true anyway

  • i was once in such an environment, an opportunity for people to go under voluntary separation came and a lot of people decided to leave the firm, just... because on one sick manager. If it wasn't for that i don't think those people would have decided to leave. more

  • It is absolutely the truth, if you have a rude and unfair leader/ boss, the environment becomes untenable. In such case the option available to ... avoid ruining your career is to quit more
