ABOUT THE ROLE:


This role is a permanent full-time position.
As a Millwright, you will be responsible to attend to breakdowns and to conduct inspections and execute maintenance tasks on open cast equipment.


Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:


Conduct inspections on equipment prior to commencement of maintenance work;
Execute all maintenance work in a safe manner;
Perform Medium Voltage Switching, lockouts and make the work area safe;
Test and commission equipment prior to handover;
Identify and record all subsequent work found during the maintenance activity;
Reporting of events and non-conformances;


ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:


Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Millwright in a mining environment;
In depth knowledge on inspection & repairs of pumps;
In depth knowledge of the workings of Jaw and Cone Crushers;
Experience in working on conveyor belts;
In depth knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems.
In depth understanding of motors, control systems, and other electrical systems.
Experience fault finding and reading electrical line diagrams


Qualifications for this role are:


Grade 12;
N3 Technical Certificate;
Millwright Trade Test;
Valid driver’s license.
