Key Responsibilities
We seek a Legal Officer who can deliver or is willing to learn how to deliver on the following:

Prepare and file legal documents such as lawsuits, appeals, wills, contracts, and deeds.
Advise and represent clients in courts, before government agencies, and in private legal matters.
Interview new clients and meet with existing clients to render legal advice.
Communicate with the clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.
Present facts in writing and verbally to clients.
Monitor legal risk in the documentation and give guidance on the acceptable assumption of risk
Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
Conduct legal research and gather evidence.
Collect, examine, and organize the evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleading and contracts
Review all contracts or any other documentation.

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Law (minimum of Second Class Upper)
Law School Certification. (B.L)
Should have completed NYSC
Entry-level experience

Requirements:

Must reside in Abuja
Must be able to draft reports
Must know how to carry out legal research.
Strong computer literacy
Attention to detail and procedures.
Ability to liaise and communicate with clients directly.
Familiar with administrative software
Strong reporting skills.
Good negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service with a client focus
Effective team player
Flexible to work weekends and overtime where required.
