Mission


The mission of this position is to provide technical support and enhance communication for BEV machines at Epiroc and with customers. The goal is to ensure customer satisfaction by monitoring machine performance, availability, operating costs, employee safety, and labour efficiency.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:


Provide Technical Support to customers in your assigned area.
Conduct Underground and Site Visits.
Regularly audit machines on all equipment in your area.
Deploy field service and service technicians when customer orders are raised.
Follow-up on audits and orders for technicians.
Troubleshooting and technical assistance.
Maintain service schedules for all Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) in your area.
Build strong relationships with our customers.
Assist in other areas / divisions of the Company when needed.
Communicate within different departments.
Assist Workshop in compiling quotes for repair and rebuild work.
Be prepared to work outside normal working hours in emergency or breakdown situations.


Commissioning of machines:


Pre-delivery service in the workshop and on-site.
Commissioning of equipment – surface and underground.
Implementation and monitoring of new technologies in your area.


Weekly status reports.


Suggest improvements to Epiroc and customers.
Record-keeping of implementation processes with suggested improvements.


Communication:


Report on all site visits to clients and manager.
Customer activity/prospects.
Address and follow through on customer queries and concerns
Communication effectively
Able to arrange and plan your day-to-day activities with your manager and ensure this is communicated to your manager


Competences, Skills & Experience:


Technical background
Technical qualification: Millwright/Electrician (Trade Test Completed)
Computer literate (MS Office).
Valid driver's licence.
Excellent product knowledge within BEV / Understanding of schematics for product lines / Part of the Technical Support team in upselling technical skills.
Interpersonal skills to work as part of the Workshop team.
Excellent customer relations / Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers.
Good telephone manners and skills.
Monthly utilization must be above 85%.
Able to work independently without supervision.
Presentable to customers


Educational Qualifications:


Grade 12
Technical qualification: Millwright/Electrician (Trade Test Completed)
Experience with underground Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) equipment.
Experience with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) is advantageous
