Hello! I already work and graduate from university this year. Our team at the company is made up of women. They are all older than me and constantly ask me to make them coffee and tea. I'm tired of it already! I don't work in the kitchen. Please advise how to gently get away from this situation?
Thank you

  • Yes - your work is important.
Have you tried a rotation with the others on the team? This way the team can experience other people’s strengths, as... you catch up on work load. I worked on a team w / all ladies … for a while. It’s a different vibe / experience, though I did my work and went home each day with gratitude.  more

  • Just make the tea as if its part of your duty but on days when yo fixed with official work in your docket, politely say no and give the reason why you... cannot help out.  more

  • It's good not to do anything. Draw, spend time with nature. So wake up. Hang out according to your head.

  • It's okay to make tea. If you are newly employed at the workstation, try to cooperate with everyone you find in one way or the other. Because you may... not know the intention of making you do it more often. Please go ahead, make the tea provided you get your salary and you don't quarrel with anyone. Good days are coming ahead as you will also join them one Time. Some one can create an issue to fire you from the job out of that tricky test. Don't miss dear friend. more

  • Make a suggestion for contributions to buy multipurpose tea dispenser. How can a technical personnel just be burning away time preparing tea?

  • I guess it comes at some point in your career to experience something like this. What you decide to do next could reverberate into the future. If you... intend to remain in the same company, you could be "developing" an influential team that could become helpful for your goals in the future. more
