Job Summary:


We are seeking a confident and clinically strong Medical Nurse to serve as a vital bridge between our company and the nursing ecosystem in hospitals. The role involves building strategic relationships with matrons, ICU nurses, ward in-charges, and other decision-making nurses who work closely with doctors and influence treatment decisions, especially in parenteral nutrition, critical care, and infusion therapies. The candidate will also help in coordinating and conducting nurse-specific CMEs, training sessions, and supporting product conversions through bedside engagement and clinical demonstrations.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Nursing Stakeholder Engagement:


Develop strong professional relationships with matrons, ICU nurses, theatre/ward in-charges, and hospital-based clinical educators
Position our brands by understanding the nurses’ influence in recommending alternative therapies or product brands to prescribing physicians
Identify and map nursing KOLs and decision influencers in target institutions


Clinical Education & Product Support:


Deliver hands-on product demonstrations, especially for injectables, infusion sets, nutrition therapy, and other hospital-based therapies
Train nursing teams on:

Proper reconstitution and administration techniques
Dosage protocols, compatibility, and handling guidelines
Adverse event recognition and reporting




CME & Academic Engagement:


Plan, coordinate, and participate in CME programs dedicated to nurses or doctor-only groups
Represent the company as a trainer, co-facilitator, or medical resource during hospital-based CME sessions
Collaborate with internal teams and nursing institutions to develop nurse-relevant educational content


Hospital Conversion & Brand Promotion:


Support brand conversions by aligning with nurses’ preferences and insights into patient outcomes
Relay critical field intelligence on nurse-led brand switches, product feedback, and clinical use cases to marketing and sales teams


Documentation & Compliance:


Maintain detailed reports of all hospital visits, training sessions, and feedback from nursing staff
Ensure adherence to pharmacovigilance and ethical standards in all interactions


Job Requirements

Candidate Profile


Education: Diploma or Degree in Nursing
Registration: Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
Experience: 3–6 years in hospital settings (ICU/wards/theatre) or in a pharma company as a nurse educator or medical support nurse
Network Advantage: Candidates with existing relationships in Nairobi’s major referral hospitals, private institutions, and teaching hospitals will have added advantage


Key Skills:


Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with senior nurses and doctors
Clinical credibility and hands-on expertise in IV/infusion product usage
Experience with nurse-focused training or academic CME coordination
Proactive, organized, and able to work independently in the field
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
