  • Go slow all the guidelines we know BUT jobs can be few and the boss is say of pakistan or indian origin or bad boss in some arab countiies are... treating workers like that . They even dont give appointment letters. One can be a bank officer a boss's driver and a compond cleaner then you work more than a mule more

  • That's totally weird. Dont do it and dont address it, tell her that you have obligations that you have to tend to on the weekends, We all do. If... you get fired then file a lawsuit. Right now I would build evidence to have just in case.  more

  • The market place, industry and profession is not a slave house. If you can walk, walk, if you can't walk, learn to stoop to become her boss,so that you... can show how real leadership is done.  more

  • Which country do you live in? If it's the US, contact the Fair Employment and Housing Department to file a complaint. Also contact an employment law... attorney.  more

  • It is really atrocious ! Is the the Head of the department of your bank the apex authority? Or is she the owner of the bank? If so there is no wonder... why she is treating you like a slave. But if it is otherwise , ask her to give you that order in writing. You give a written complaint against her with proper evidence to your apex authorities.and also refuse to comply with her order.  more

  • This is harassment pure and simple! The bank you work in should and must have policies on code of conduct and channels to speak out like whistleblower... channel or even addressing it through your HR function at work. It should not happen ever! more

  • Actually profession is different from personal life no one will tell you how to run your life being him your employer. However, being an employee... doesn't mean you are a slave.. Some employer are getting into the business which they are not supposed to do so. Those kind of employers need to remind themselves to be always professional.  more

  • This is unethical and unprofessional. No formal organisational structure will subject a staff to such to such. Hence, you need to understand the kind... of organisation that you work with.  more

  • The key word there is "force".
Hence, that is force labour which is outside the job jurisdiction.
No matter what job you do, it should not take away... your humanity and self integrity and dignity.
    .
Nothing can make me do such. This is why its not good to work go money, no matter how much is being paid, I would gladly walk away if reporting to the higher authority won't suffice.

    I am not a slave.
The last slave was Jesus, No human being can take me there no matter what is involved.

  • What will happen if you didsobey her? Will you lose your job or your life? Only in that case you should obey her.

  • This is abuse and a contravention of laws and policies of the organization. She needs to be reported and with evidence. Your refusal should not cause... you victimization since this was not what you signed up for more

  • Wow. Can you change departments? Or report to another higher authority? At this point, I believe it's best to take it up to a superior higher than... that Head of Department.  more

  • This actually sounds like a big joke to me, but if it's actually happening, your boss needs to be put in her place. In this day and age, who does... that ? more

  • Hi there!
Wow… that is wildly inappropriate—and actually, it sounds like a serious abuse of power. You're absolutely right not to want to go along... with it, and honestly, you shouldn’t. more

  • The head of the bank acts as the manager, and one of her roles is directing. You need to review your job description and terms and conditions of... service. Human resources usually assign any assignment to you.  more

  • That's gotta be illegal. If you can't get her in trouble, I would get a new job.

  • Report her to the President of the bank. This is an abuse of her position.

  • File a complaint with your district manager. Unionize. This is wildly unacceptable.

  • If you refuse and you get fired, then you can sue for wrongful termination. Unless it's in your job description, but even then it's an unfair labor... practice. Consult a labor lawyer. more
