Job Requirement


Have Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, and Economics, Entrepreneurship or related field from a recognized University.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from a recognized Institution.
Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Constitution of Kenya 2010, County Government Act of 2012 etc.
Professional knowledge of theory and techniques in a specialized field, or knowledge of a number of fields acquired through tertiary education and/or considerable experience.
Five (5) years’ experience in a related area.


Job Description


Supervise the staff under the position through allocation of work and ensuring the duties are performed to desired standards.
In charge of the audit team-observe and participate in the preparation of primary audit reports on cooperative societies.
Perform liquidations of societies.
Evaluate and document audit evidence.
Draw up programs for training accounting staff and directors of cooperatives societies.
Prepares financial statements and making detailed reports on periodical returns and estimates of income and expenditure.
Give opinion on accounting reports.
Write up periodic reports on the activities undertaken by the audit section.
Consolidate financial reports from all cooperatives and provide appropriate technical advice.
Auditing annual accounts. Undertaking audits and inspections and reading them to committee and members and giving advisory services.
Involved in the budget preparation process.
