Why is it so hard to get your business up and running without the financial support????? I started my 501(c)(3) in 2019 and I'm still trying to get the website up and get some funding.

  • I completely understand where you’re coming from. Starting and sustaining a nonprofit is not for the faint of heart — especially when you don’t have... the financial backing. 💯

Many of us begin with passion and vision, but the resources don’t always come as quickly as we hope. My advice: focus on small, strategic wins — build your online presence with free tools (like Canva, Wix, or Google Sites), apply for micro-grants, and collaborate with other local organizations for shared exposure and support.

Don’t get discouraged — your consistency is progress. Keep sharing your mission, telling your story, and connecting with people who believe in it. The funding will follow the momentum you create. 🌱✨

  • Because you have no history of working with a grant. Also your Board and how it is setup and who is on it is important. Also you need a person who has... relationships with the organization you are applying for. The Grantor depending on who it is has a liaison and when you have no relationship with them no chance. Also do you have the systems in place to receive a grant. People assume you just right a grant and you will receive money that is now it actually works. Also what measures do you have in place to show the statical data to show what you are doing is effective and it has to be what measurements are you using to show that you are effective what pre mid and post are you using to show that you are making effective change and this statical data has to be certified buy a PH.D or statistician. To many times non-profit of color do not realize what they actually have to do to receive money. I am talking from a personal level I have been blessed with $400,000 dollars for what I was doing in my community, but to get to the larger ones I had to grow and in terms of my ability to get better and make adjustments in my organization to go after the larger grants it takes a lot of things. You may need to have an advisor help you get everything in order to get the grants. Hope this helps you! more

  • Hi,
I totally get it, I have been through the same frustrations, and I remember when I desperately needed confirmation that starting my business was... worth the trouble, the worries, the discouragement that went with pursuing my purpose. I found a way to find out if it's worth it, there is a process to get you to get clarity and laser focus on what you need to do to determine the options available for you to be of service to your fellow man., i will gladly share it with you. No sales just want to see if I can help you help people. more

  • I am website developer at www.tedula.africa , where I build websites . I can help you with setting up a website for your Business, if you don’t mind.

  • It’s so hard. I started my LLC IN 2021 and still am not fully running. I’m about to say heck with it all 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

  • It is hard! Have you gotten connected to a community foundation near you? Many times they have trainings, events and connections that will help this... process. If you haven’t already, also see about a rotary club, chamber of commerce or other community based networks near you. more
