I turned down a promotion because it required relocating, and my fiancée didn't want to move. Six months later we broke up, and I still regret the career opportunity I lost. Did I make the wrong choice?

  • Most Lovers make such decisions that don't yield good results, so such too much Love blind them from seeing an opportunity. Don't blame your self. Let... it go. Just prepare to receive another is coming  more

  • Yep, it was a dumb choice to make. Nonetheless, you’ll still get other opportunities, keep your eyes peeled.

  • This is the worst decision a lady should make in life. You went to school, you read books, a fiance should not be in control of where you should... relocate or stay to work in. Choose one thing a job or be poor? more

  • And I'll say oh I don't believe that you were supposed to have considered telling your fiancé about any promotional events you should just told her... that you guys are moving to a different state where the job has sent you too. more

  • You carried the sacrifice of letting go of the promotion and relocation in to the affairs with your fiancee and i guess it took a toll on the... relationship. You have an instinct and its been better you listened to it and make your decision. You could have honored the promotion and relocation and died in the process or something evil happened. You must not blame yourself for what happened rather move on and work better on yourself for better offer and partner. You never can tell something much more promising may be in the bag for you. Cheer up! more

  • If your fiancé got the promotion and had to relocate, would you have? This in my opinion is very telling about your relationship. If ever married... there will be many unanticipated things that are going to come up and will require compromise on both parts. more

  • Maybe something came with the promotion that you didn't necessarily sign up for and relocating would have put you in a bigger hole?
