Hello!
I like my job and make good money. But I’m constantly stressed and have already lost 15 kg in four months.
The doctor insists that I better look for another job, because this one is harmful to my health.
I know that health is more expensive, but the salary here is very good.
What should I do?

  • Even God want you alive. And whatever effort you put in to show how much you value his gift of life, be assured to get help from him.
Haven't you... realized that you're actually getting the money and yet you're neither happy or satisfied?

    Prayerfully consider other options.

  • Speak to a mental health professional to find techniques to help you manage stress before making a major switch. Maybe it's not the job but how you... manage it. Life comes with different stressors in different phases. Even if you have to change jobs later, the skill you could learn to manage your stress will only help you in the long run.  more

  • First your health and after for not being alone, try to find out a job which you like (in your heart) not only for earning higher wage.

  • Would rather prefer working for 20 years only to use all the money to manage your health in the hospital for the rest of your life.?

Let me be honest... with you, from your statement, you really do know what to do but you are just being greedy and selfish and looking for some friends online to support your greed and then hoping that by their words you won’t break down.

My advice now is, There is a spirit in man, the inspiration of the almighty giveth him understanding. That which your spirit has asked and told you to do, do it.
You do not know what lies ahead, the spirit is advising you to take caution now, I would love to partner with the spirit to say, listen to it.

There is nothing we will say here, that will satisfy you enough aside from what the spirit has instructed you to do.
    Welldone!

  • lot of high stress jobs require that we build strong coping mechanisms that focus more on getting the job done than on the "noise" around the job.... Ensure you structure your time well and switch off from time to time for R&R. Know when to stop. Find a routine that helps you stop when you need to like helping kids with homework, gym and exercise etc and commit to it by consciously setting aside some time in your day to do it. That way, you give yourself a break from the high pressure. After all if you collapsed and died in the office *touch wood* your employer would be seeking your replacement even before you are cold in the morgue. more

  • I have been a victim too, sickly all the time and been diagnosed of fatigue and stress . Doctors advise me to have enough rest which is next to... impossible when you work for NGOs . This kind of jobs can cost your live if you don't strategize and start saving aggressively for your own business. For lack of a better word you have mental disorders which signs and symptoms are manifested that way and if not managed well can lead to health hazards. Most supervisors of a highly stressful work environments are as well stressed up and may not provide any solutions, instead you will be rated a non performer . Accept to push on with the work if you don't have any viable business, prioritize on saving ,open up a business , employ someone to run for you the business ,after the business has stabilized, resign and look for another job when you have a running business. "Health is a priority , money can't buy health otherwise the rich wouldn't die". more
