JOB FUNCTION:
• The successful candidate will join our team as a Head for Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics in the Supply Chain Department. • (S)He will report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and will be responsible for the end-to-end management of warehousing, inventory control, and logistics operations across AT. • The Head of Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics will ensure that all network equipment, commercial stock, devices, and materials are effectively managed, stored, and distributed in line with business requirements, regulatory standards, and cost-efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
• Develop and lead the execution of the warehousing, inventory, and logistics strategy aligned with AT’s overall supply chain and business strategy. • Define policies, SLAs, and SOPs across logistics, warehousing, and inventory operations in line with industry standards and internal controls. • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization across the supply chain.
Warehouse Management
• Oversee the management of central and regional warehouse operations. • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all equipment and materials to prevent loss, damage, and obsolescence. • Ensure warehouse layout, space utilization, and infrastructure comply with safety and operational standards.
Inventory Control
• Lead the development and enforcement of robust inventory control procedures. • Monitor inventory levels, manage cycle counts, and ensure timely reconciliation and reporting. • Ensure stock accuracy between physical and system records (ERP/WMS) and address variances proactively.
Logistics & Distribution
• Manage the inbound and outbound movement of goods to and from AT’s facilities, including last-mile distribution to retail and regional sites. • Liaise with Customs, Freight Forwarders, and other partners to ensure timely clearance and delivery of goods. • Monitor delivery schedules, fleet performance, and transportation costs, ensuring efficient and timely distribution.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with Commercial, Technical, Finance, Regulatory, and Project teams to align inventory and logistics support with operational needs. • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and warehouse partners to ensure service quality and contractual compliance.
Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, and manage a team of warehouse, logistics, and inventory professionals. • Define performance metrics and conduct regular performance reviews. • Foster a culture of high performance, safety, compliance, and innovation.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) regulations in all logistics and warehouse operations. • Ensure adherence to internal audit, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements related to inventory and logistics.
Required Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. • Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA, MSc Supply Chain) and/or professional certification (e.g., CILT, CSCP, APICS, PMP) is an added advantage. • Minimum of 4–8 years of experience in logistics, inventory, and warehouse management, preferably in the telecommunications, FMCG, or technology sector. • Strong proficiency in ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – SAP preferred. • Demonstrated experience leading distributed teams and managing cross-functional supply chain operations.
