Role Outline

The role of a Graduate Management Trainee (Warehouse) is designed to provide recent graduates with an opportunity to gain practical experience and develop skills in various aspects of warehouse operations management within our organization. This role typically involves rotational assignments across different departments or functions within the operations division, allowing trainees to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the organization's operational management systems, processes & standards.

In addition, the GMT shall be supporting Operations Excellence Functional Leads in driving strategic Operations Excellence programs namely, - Health & Safety, Environment & Sustainability, Quality & Regulatory Assurance, Project Delivery, Continuous Improvement & Accelerated Digitalization initiatives - to develop and grow the performance of operations in a consistent way through the standardized Operations Excellence Programs & Tools.

General Accountabilities


Learn & adhere to clear understandings of the clients’ service requirements.   
Build the knowledge & experience to ensure the use of standardized programs & tools                    
To report and record any non-conformity with regards to customer merchandise  
To work within operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the business. 
When performing duties - adapt to following operating procedures and safe working practices  
You may be required to undertake other duties as necessitated by business needs that may not be part of the responsibilities outlined in this role profile
Engage and work closely with operations team on implementation of assigned projects e.g. standardization, environmental, continuous improvement, accelerated digitalization, data analytics.  
Championed assigned practice- build depths via best practice research and application, team development & training, engagement on relevant continuous improvement initiatives.  
Develop and maintain good and effective communication across the business.  
Support the implementation of projects to improve Safety & Quality culture as well as respect for the environment in our operations.

Qualifications & Experience


Relevant bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a business-related field.
Leadership and people management.
Strong planning and organizing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
Fluent in both English and Swahili.


Languages

English and Kiswahili - verbal and written.
