Job Function
• Under the Head of Section, successful applicant will assist duty officers in their various positions
Job Description
• Assist in monitoring incoming messages on a specialized network • Assist in the reception, processing and distribution of data including Geo information and surveyed data • Assist in the distribution of data and the generation of statistical reports o both national and international agencies • Provide support for the officer n duty in the discharge of his/her duties • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by a superior
Qualification Required & Experience
• Possess a minimum of Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with background in Geographic information systems (covering areas such as cartography, surveying and/or spatial Data Management), Computer Science, Engineering (preferably Aerospace, Geodetic, Geomatics, Computer Information Technology/Information systems (or other closely related disciplines) • Knowledge in French is an added advantage • 1 year post National Service experience in the above fields • Applicants for selection shall pass aptitude tests and oral interviews
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
The applicant must:
• Be versatile and be able to adapt and adjust to new changes and requirements, including specialized software • Possess strong communication skills (oral and written) • Possess interpersonal skills and be an effective as well as efficient team player • Possess good working knowledge in computer software particularly word, excel, PowerPoint and Outlok • Prepared to work in the shift environment including day, night, weekend and public holidays • Be prepared to work outside of Accra • Be declared physically and medically fit • Age: Not more than 25 years at the time of the deadline for the submission of the application
