The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with prospective clients in order to catalyze business development success. This individual will schedule meetings with clients in order to understand their needs. They will also work closely with sales and marketing teams to uncover new leads.

Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:

Research and identify potential clients in target industries or markets.
Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events.
Collaborate with marketing teams to align strategies for lead generation.

Client Engagement:

Conduct initial meetings and presentations with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and goals.
Articulate the value proposition of our software solutions and demonstrate how they can benefit the client.
Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

Proposal Development:

Collaborate with the technical team to develop customized proposals that address the specific needs of potential clients.
Clearly articulate the features, benefits, and cost implications of our solutions in proposals and presentations.

Negotiation and Closing:

Lead negotiations and close deals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Work closely with operations and finance teams to finalize contracts and agreements.

Market Intelligence:

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
Provide feedback to internal teams on product enhancements or new features based on market insights.

Reporting and Analysis:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deal progress using CRM tools.
Provide regular reports and updates to the management team on sales performance and pipeline status.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate and teach strong selling and influencing skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in related role
Strong communication and time management skills
MUST have worked with either the government or private sectors.
MUST have worked in the IT or related industry.
