  • Been here but I persevered.

  • I completed 12 Months on 8th December this as an unemployed Kenyan. My House has been locked twice by the current Land lord, I've been thrown out... of another house twice , I've been housed by a good friend for two months as my household items were shared by three friends for safe storage, I've spent days and nights without food and slept for a month in an unfinished apartment far from my previous estate. Unemployment is not only a struggle but a life threatening experience. I've since lost my family. I'm just a desperate shell of my former self. The greatest challenge for an unemployed person is to gather enough courage, confidence, mien, cleanliness and master the necessary personality required to win a new job... Only God's intervention will help if new Employers get convinced that you can perform or equal to the task applied for in your current state... In all the interviews I've attended, I've been so weak, negotiating for a salary has been my biggest nightmare.  more

  • I know explicitly what you are going through. Hang in there, and just keep on preparing yourself - in what ever way is possible... (webinars/conferences/volunteering/offering free services). Also just keep on talking and speaking to your physical and digital network - something will give.  more
