Duties and Responsibilities


Prepare financial budgets, reports, and statements related to the marketing and sales of the Corporation’s products and services.
Facilitate, monitor, and manage the absorption of the Division’s budget.
Formulate and oversee the implementation of sales and marketing strategies across all business units.
Monitor performance and prepare periodic reports.
Identify and negotiate key strategic partnerships to boost business levels.
Lead liaison efforts with key government agencies to ensure customer satisfaction.
Establish vital linkages between customers and the operations team to achieve agreed service level agreements.
Develop business growth strategies and oversee implementation to ensure financial gains and customer satisfaction.
Provide market and customer feedback to business development teams for new business opportunities.
Conduct stakeholder engagements with key industry players, including shipping lines, clearing agents, and other logistics partners.
Manage cross-border relationships with regional clients to enhance business volumes and customer relationships.
Formulate and monitor customer retention and acquisition strategies across business units to improve services.
Continuously analyze changes in the business environment, including competitive analysis, and recommend remedial actions.
Monitor key customer account relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
Formulate and implement pricing strategies, including setting rates, fares, and other charges.
Coordinate the implementation of feedback, market research, and customer communication.
Ensure business processes meet Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Coach, mentor, and develop staff using relevant human resource tools.


Requirements for the Job


Master’s degree in a business-related field from a recognized institution.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in Marketing or equivalent from a recognized institution.
A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience, with at least five (5) years in a Senior Management position.
Undertaken a management course lasting at least four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Registered member of MSK, CIM, or a relevant professional body.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
