Job Summary:

Mshel Construction Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Officer to join our team. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating the company's procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent negotiation skills, vendor management abilities, and a strong understanding of procurement best practices.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company's operations and goals.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and terms for materials and services.
Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and monitor supplier performance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency.
Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and best practices in procurement.


Qualifications and Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Quantity survey, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing techniques, and contract management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
