This position is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial recording, efficient financial management, and effective supervision of the existing ICT systems within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
• Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain up-to-date general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support effective financial planning.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, verification, and timely payment.
• Monitor accounts receivable, invoicing, collection, and accurate payment recording.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances and resolve discrepancies.
3. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Generate accurate financial reports and provide insights for management decision-making.
• Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis to support strategic planning.
• Make recommendations to enhance profitability and cost-efficiency.
4. ICT Systems Administration:
• Oversee the operation of existing ICT systems within the organization.
• Provide technical support to staff, troubleshoot issues, and resolve user-related problems.
• Conduct training sessions to ensure effective usage of software applications.
• Collaborate with external IT vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and backup protocols are implemented.
5. Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements.
• Propose and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
• Evaluate internal controls and implement measures to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accountant and/or Systems Administrator, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and other financial systems.
• Strong understanding of ICT systems and their operation, including software applications, hardware, and networks.
• Ability to provide technical support, train staff, and troubleshoot system-related issues.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
