The ideal candidate for this role must be familiar with baking and catering best practices as well as suggest viable product ideas.
Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of high-quality bread, pastries, and cakes following established recipes and production schedules.
Monitor oven temperatures, adjust baking times, and ensure consistent quality of baked products.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the baking area and manage ingredient inventory.
Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as commercial ovens, deep-fat fryers and rotisserie ovens.
Collaborate with the team to create new recipes and meet customer demands.
Adhere to food safety regulations and assist in training new baking staff.

Requirements

Minimum of a First degree in any relevant field
Relevant culinary or baking qualifications are a plus
2-5 years of proven experience as a baker with knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills and a team player mindset.
Creativity and willingness to experiment with new flavors.
