The Graduate Trainee will support the daily operations of our Flowers production site, focused on greenhouse production, particularly for Pelargonium (geraniums) and B&B (Bedding and Balcony) plants. The role offers hands on experience and development opportunities in greenhouse production processes, cold room, fertigation, spraying, engineering and any other relevant department. The Graduate trainee will utilize this opportunity to develop his/her leadership and technical skills required for people management and crop production.

Accountabilities

Learn and participate in the production processes such as:


Greenhouses: Climate control, plant care, propagation techniques
Cold room: Storage practices, temperature management
Fertigation: Nutrient management, irrigation systems
Spraying: Pest and disease control, application techniques
Engineering: Maintenance of greenhouse systems, automation\
Phytosanitary: Phytosanitary processes, standards and audits
Quality processes


Engage in on the job learning opportunities to develop leadership skills including:

Develop technical skills for Pelargonium and B&B plant production such as:


Propagation methods

Qualifications

Degree  in Agriculture, Horticulture or equivalent
