Job Role Description
We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, which include but are not limited to; payroll processing, debtors, payments verification, tax, and liaising with statutory bodies and the bank.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring compliance with all tax matters, and other regulatory authorities and processing of the tax payments and returns.
Handling monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing
Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments captured & tracked on accounting software and reporting all financial information done; weekly, monthly, quarterly, and end of the year.
Manage payroll, by processing salaries, ensuring payroll and tax documents are accurate, and updating payroll files.
Reviewing and reconciling the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies, and taking the proper corrective actions to resolve them.
Maintaining a monthly listing of the accounts payable and receivables and following up on customer payments and debt collection.
Preparation of budget forecasts, monthly budget variance analysis, audit schedules, and supporting the organization during external audits.
Process inter-group transactions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related area of study.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)or ACCA.
Member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) will be an added advantage
Minimum 3 years experience as an accountant in a busy environment.
Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures, principles, and reporting standards as well as creating financial statements.
Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks will be an added advantage
Proficiency in MS Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s
Experience with general ledger functions and the end-of-the-month or end-of-the-year close process.
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
