Duties and Responsibilities

Create, maintain and enter information into databases;
Manage students’ records at the Centre;
Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing;
Set up and manage proper or electronic ling systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material;
Handles inquiries brought forth and direct to the appropriate persons according to their needs;
Maintain scheduling and event calendars for Director ODeL;
Complete forms in accordance of CUEA procedures;
Schedule and conrm appointments for, clients, customers, or supervisors;
Coordinate with various sta for operational support activities of the ODeL Centre and also serve as a liaison with various departments and operating units in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational problems;
Provide administrative/secretarial support for ODeL Centre such as answering telephones, assisting visitors and resolve a range of administrative problems and inquiries;
Prepare, transcribe, compose, type, edit and distribute agendas and minutes of numerous meetings;
Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, appointments, events and other similar activities for supervisors,
Report writing;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Competences:

Should be a Bachelors degree holder;
Masters degree is an added advantage;
Must have undergone secretarial training;
Well versed in administrative and secretarial duties;
Worked for at least two years at University level;
Proficiency in computer packages and ICT literacy;
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills;
Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
