Our company has already hired a third young guy without a college degree. I honestly don’t understand it, since I’m a certified economist (I completed a master’s degree).
Can you tell me, is higher (specialized) education really no longer important for a career nowadays? Thanks

Degree in this era is like carrying a 'designed certificate' for show-off . As of me I believe strongly in ability, passion and experience

  • Ever heard them say do your job and go home..yes that's it.
That, as you look for a job elsewhere if you feel that's not the type of workmates you... deserve  more

  • Honestly jobs are looking for staff eith the knowledge and experience instead of degrees. Why pay a person more money with out the experience but has... a degree when they can get the person with no degree for less and gain because that person has the knowledge. more

  • Degrees are just an indicator that when you're given a job, you'll show up and deliver just like you did at school. They don't necessarily... differentiate you from those that lack them, what matters is whether or not you got one, can the employer bet on you to deliver based on your knowledge, skills and experience needed for the job. more

  • Sometimes that degree means nothing is u are not personable. Maybe u come off stuck up idk but by even posting this its like u think ur better than a... person with no degree maybe they didnt have a opportunity to go to school due to life happening but they are a better worker. Instead of posting try being friends and taking tips that could help u climb up the ladder.  more

  • The syllabus of each college differs , the degree of one university is not accepted in another , what you study in a college is not what you do in a... company while working. The ability to study new things require a typical ability and implementing it is all together a different ball game. Company is looking these two things in a candidate while interviewing them. These two qualities are nothing to do with the certificates you earned. The ability of discretion is after all the most relevant thing. more

  • I didn't finish my bachelors degree. I know I wasted money even going to college.
