My wife thinks my female coworker is too close to me and has asked me to stop working with her. There is absolutely nothing romantic between us, but my wife says my job isn't worth risking our marriage. I don't want to quit, but I don't want to lose my marriage either. What would you do?

  • Insecure women prefer control over men. Just have a boundary with your coworker but please keep the job. The marriage lasts as long as you provide,... stop working you will lose your wife  more

  • I agree with Bello Ibrahim Yusuf: ask your wife specifically what is making her uncomfortable. Requesting a transfer is an option, but trust me, no... job change will make an insecure partner feel secure.

Women make up a huge portion of today's workforce, and working in diverse teams is standard practice. Quitting won't solve anything—you'll end up working with women at your next job, too. Unless she expects you to stay home while she works (and she avoids male coworkers herself), running from the situation isn't realistic. There is Counciling

  • Quiting your job is definatley not a good option , sometimes people come into marriage with a lot of emotional wounds and as a spouse you are expected... to automatiacally know them, heal them and even take the punishment for something that was never caused by you to begin with which is not a good thing.A person who cannot trust will not trust you even if you can bring the moon down to earth ,they dont even see that you are there for them as their safe space because their focus is on this one thing that is triggered by past experiences. You are the one who knows your wife better than anyone try to suggest some therapy sessions where you will understand exactly where is this behaviour coming from.If that female collegue has all the signs of things you desired from your wife (peace, love, compassion, companionship e.t.c ) you will fall inlove with her unintentionally because she provides for you exactly what you need emotionally. If you dont adress this you will be a victim of emotional abuse fo more

  • Move on! You have been ranting about your wife since 2019. No one cares about your marital issues more than you. You are creating unnecessary... workplace issues by constantly referencing a wife no one is thinking about. I don't care. We don't care. No one cares. Please keep your marital issues out of the workplace! We don't even need to know who your wife is. The only thing we need from you is your job done. Thank you! I don't want to hear about your wife again.  more

  • End it with the coworker immediately! Request a change. Ask for a male coworker.

  • Lose the marriage. She clearly has trust issues with you, and you will make blind decisions coz of her. And when things go south, and you don't have a... job anymore, she will leave you either way.
So better to keep your job and lose the wife, than to lose both.

  • No need to quit your job else you justify the closeness. Just tell your coworker to try to minimize closeness and keep it professional. Good luck.
