Key Responsibilities 


Plan and implement community outreach activities including community NCD and home-based care programs in collaboration with key partners 
Coordinate and supervise field teams providing health services at community and household level

Degree or Diploma in Nursing, Community Health or related field

Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, explaining the procedure, providing instructions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Operate radiographic equipment, such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI scanners, and ultrasound machines, to capture images of the body's internal structures.
Select appropriate imaging techniques, settings, and parameters based on the... specific diagnostic requirements, patient characteristics, and physician instructions.
Position and immobilize patients using appropriate devices, such as immobilization devices, sandbags, or protective shields, to ensure optimal image quality and minimize motion artifacts.
Align imaging equipment and adjust settings to focus on the area of interest and capture clear and accurate images while minimizing radiation exposure to patients and personnel.
Monitor patients during imaging procedures, observing for signs of discomfort, distress, or adverse reactions, and responding promptly to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Review captured images to ensure quality, clarity, and diagnostic value, retaking images if necessary to achieve optimal results.
Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and imaging files, entering relevant information into electronic medical records (EMRs) or picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results, discuss findings, and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients.
Follow established protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements for radiation protection, infection control, and patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare standards and guidelines.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and reporting issues to appropriate personnel for repair or service.
Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, such as image quality assessment, peer review, and performance evaluation, to ensure compliance with standards and optimize imaging services.
Stay updated on advances in imaging technology, techniques, and procedures through continuing education, training, and professional development activities.
Provide guidance and support to junior radiographers, students, and trainees, assisting with training, supervision, and mentorship as needed.
Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and compassion in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and healthcare team members, adhering to ethical and professional standards of practice.

Scope of Work

Phase 1: Discovery and Planning


Conduct a full audit of the websites.
Collect input from stakeholders for all three websites.
Understand each site's audience, goals, content needs, and integration requirements.
Benchmark comparable websites locally and globally.


Phase 2: Website Strategy and Design


Develop a sitemap, navigation structure, and user journey... for each site.
Propose unified branding principles while preserving service-specific identity (e.g., fertility vs diagnostics).
Design modern, mobile-responsive user interfaces with a strong focus on UX.


Phase 3: Content Development


Review and rewrite existing content.
Enhance content including service descriptions, FAQs, patient journeys, testimonials, and patient education.
Ensure all content is SEO-optimized, patient-friendly, and aligned with each brand’s tone.


Phase 4: Technical Development


Build the three websites on a recommended CMS (e.g., WordPress or equivalent).
Ensure fast performance, high responsiveness, security, and SEO optimization.
Integrate required features such as:

Booking/enquiry forms
WhatsApp chat
Access portals (e.g., PACS for KPN)
Blog or news section
Multilingual support (optional for IVF)
Contact directory or map-based facility locator




Phase 5: Testing and Launch


Conduct thorough device and browser testing.
Address feedback and finalize the websites.
Assist with rollout and launch coordination.


Phase 6: Training and Handover


Train internal staff to manage basic content updates.
Provide administrative access and documentation.
Offer post-launch technical support (minimum 1–3 months).

Major Duties and Responsibilities


Assessing, planning and implementation of nursing care to cancer patients... according to the nursing process framework
Participate in screening activities to assist in early diagnosis of cancer
Offering Counselling and Psychological care to help patients navigate through the treatment journey
Administration of prescribed Chemotherapy according to set-out policies and existing guidlines
Provide information on potential side effects of Chemotherapy before administration to ensure that the patientis prepared for the treatment
Mnitor the progress of patients on Chemotherapy and identify any side effects
Ensure smooth running of the oncology unit in collaborating with the finance insurance team to facilitate insurance approvals before management
Champion for proper handling of cytotoxic Chemotherapy drugs, and proper waste segragation
Offer palliative and hospice srvices to improve quality of life of patients and relatives
Maintaining health records of cancer patients
Provide preventive and promotive health education to our cancer patients and relatives
Participate in MDT meetings to come up with management plans for cancer patients
Participate in the continued professional development by self-study
Write daily, weekly, and monthly reports about the Cancer unit
Participate in the promotion and growth of oncology services through Community outreach, patient education, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications


Diploma in Nursing or BSc. Nursing
Higher National Diploma in Oncology Nursing
Must be registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
Valid professional practice license
Minimum 2 years working experience in a bus oncology centre
Trained in BLS/ACLS
Proficienc in MS Office packages for report writing and presentation
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain relationships
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Swahili
