Responsibilities:


Develop and implement the strategic direction for the Unit.
Lead and mentor a team of lawyers and paralegals, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring efficient workflow.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
Oversee and manage complex family law matters, including establishment of family Trusts, engaging in... structuring of family-owned businesses, undertaking probate, devising appropriate estate planning, handling child custody matters, and matrimonial property division cases.
Undertaking registration of charitable institutions be it Charitable Trusts, Foundations, Public Benefit Organizations, etc., including international PBOs and branches of foreign charitable institutions.
Advise on the compliance of charitable institutions, including employment, immigration, tax, and corporate governance issues.
Represent clients in family law litigation, including court hearings and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of family law issues, such as divorce, child custody, maintenance, and property division.
Provide comprehensive tax advice on wealth management structures and advise charities on tax implications.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand the firm’s client base, and generate revenue.


Qualifications:


Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
Admitted Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate.
At least 8 years post-admission experience in a busy law firm or organization dealing with private wealth investment. more
