Job Summary:

The Finance Officer will support the implementation of TPO’s financial policies and procedures, ensure proper financial management, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with donors and organizational requirements. The role will provide financial insights to program teams and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:


Manage day-to-day accounting... operations in line with TPO policies.
Review financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and control.
Support sub-award management, ensuring partner financial reports are accurate and timely.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and donors.

Qualifications/Experience:

Job Summary

Enumerators will be responsible for carrying out field data collection activities to... support the MEAL unit in various tasks. The role is crucial in producing evidence to guide the design and implementation of targeted assistance to conflict-affected populations across Borno State.

Key Roles and Responsibilities


Participate in comprehensive training on survey tools, ethical data collection, and the use of digital devices.
Conduct interviews using structured questionnaires, mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox), and other relevant instruments.
Collect both quantitative and qualitative data through household interviews, key informant interviews (KIIs), and focus group discussions (FGDs).
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely data entry into digital devices as per instructions.
Maintain ethical standards in data collection, including confidentiality and informed consent.
Liaise with community members and stakeholders respectfully and professionally.
Flag and report inconsistencies, problems, or security concerns to supervisors promptly.
Provide daily updates to the team leader/supervisor and submit completed forms as required.
Support logistics for community entry, mobilization, and respondent recruitment as directed.

Required Qualifications and Experience 


Minimum of a Diploma or National Certificate in Statistics, Social Sciences, Education, or related field. A bachelor's degree is an added advantage.
At least 1 year of experience in data collection, field surveys, or community-based assessments (especially in humanitarian, development, or reintegration settings).
Familiarity with the cultural and security context of Borno State, especially Maiduguri and Bama LGAs.


Technical Skills:


Proficiency in mobile data collection platforms such as KoboCollect or ODK.
Experience in conducting FGDs, KIIs, or household surveys.
Ability to communicate fluently in English and at least one local language (Kanuri, Hausa, or Shuwa Arab preferred).
Basic knowledge of ethical data collection and safeguarding principles.

Job Summary

The Community-Based Field Staff (CBFS) will complement the socio-economic reintegration activities implemented at the community level through direct interaction... with beneficiaries, local leaders, and community structures. They will assist in community mobilization, sensitization, data verification, coordination of SME activities, and monitoring of in-kind assistance. Their role will ensure that project interventions are community-driven, conflict-sensitive, and inclusive of vulnerable groups.

Key Roles and Responsibilities


Participate in community engagements and mobilizations for activities such as beneficiary selection, training,  awareness creation, and livelihood support programs.
Serve as a liaison between TPO Nigeria and community structures, including women’s associations, CBOs, youth groups, and religious/traditional leaders.
Provide support in the organization and documentation of household-level outreach during assessments or awareness creation.
Assist in the screening, profiling, and verification of beneficiaries in collaboration with enumerators and supervisors.
Coordinate logistical arrangements and field-level planning for distributions, trainings, and community meetings.
Monitor the usage and maintenance of distributed livelihood kits, solar bags, and other in-kind business support items.
Provide mentoring and follow-up support to beneficiaries receiving training in entrepreneurship, civic education, psychosocial support, and small business development.
Identify community concerns, feedback, or challenges and report them through the feedback and accountability mechanisms.
Support the setup and activities of business advisory centers, community-led monitoring committees, and complaint-feedback mechanisms.
Ensure that all project activities are implemented in line with TPO Nigeria’s conflict-sensitive, gender-inclusive, and environmentally sustainable approach.
Comply with all relevant TPO policies and procedures concerning child protection, health and safety, and other relevant policies

Required Qualifications and Experience:


Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) or NCE in Social Work, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or related fields. A bachelor's degree is a strong advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in community development, livelihoods support, reintegration, or humanitarian programming, preferably in Northeast Nigeria.
Prior engagement with community-based organizations, cooperatives, or informal groups is highly desirable.


Technical Skills:


Strong facilitation, mobilization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate community trainings, meetings, and public sensitization activities.
Familiarity with the use of basic reporting tools and mobile data platforms.
Proficiency in English and at least one local language (Kanuri, Hausa, or Shuwa Arab preferred).


Other Competencies:


Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity, particularly in post-conflict or traumatized communities.
Experience working with vulnerable populations such as survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), former associates of armed groups, and persons with disabilities.

Job Summary

The Livelihood Trainer will be responsible for delivering practical, market-relevant skills training to conflict-affected individuals,... including former associates, vulnerable women, and youth, to promote sustainable livelihood opportunities. The trainer will facilitate structured training sessions across selected communities, focusing on entrepreneurship, small business development, vocational skills, and financial literacy. This role is crucial to achieving the program’s objective of empowering 1,000 beneficiaries with tools for economic independence and reintegration.

Key Roles and Responsibilities


Develop and deliver structured training modules on small and medium enterprises (SME) development and management, financial literacy and savings culture, digital banking and mobile money, and vocational skills.
Participate in the beneficiary selection and profiling process to ensure equal opportunities across gender and vulnerability.
Assess individual aspirations and skills, and facilitate appropriate referrals to vocational training or mental health providers, based on beneficiaries’ profiles.
Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to participants on small business development, vocational skills, and digital financial literacy to empower local business owners.
Work collaboratively with trained counsellors to deliver psychosocial support (PSS) and Psychological First Aid (PFA)
Support the integration of gender equality, environmental sustainability, and peacebuilding themes into training sessions.
Collaborate with community-based trainers, business advisory centers, and cooperatives to enhance outreach and sustainability.
Facilitate Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions for community-based facilitators and peer mentors.
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to track knowledge gained and changes in skills.
Provide ongoing support to trainees during and after training, including linking them with markets, networks, and financing options.
Document training activities, attendance, and outcomes, and submit timely reports to the Project Manager or M&E team.
Coordinate the distribution of seed grants to 1,000 SMEs based on their selected business choices, ensuring equity and transparency throughout the process.
Contribute to monitoring and evaluation, success story collection, and program learning efforts.
Comply with all relevant TPO policies and procedures concerning child protection, health and safety, and other relevant policies.
Perform any other duties that will be assigned by the supervisor.


Required Qualifications and Experiences:


Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Economics, Education, Entrepreneurship, Agricultural Extension, Social Work, or related disciplines.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in livelihood programming, vocational training, business development, or economic empowerment projects.
Experience training vulnerable or conflict-affected populations, including IDPs, returnees, and women.
Prior experience with NGO, UN, or government-led reintegration or skills-building projects is an advantage.


Technical Skills:


Strong knowledge of adult learning methodologies and participatory training techniques.
Practical knowledge in SME creation, income-generating activities, and microfinance.
Ability to develop training materials and customize modules based on audience and context.
Proficiency in local languages (Kanuri, Hausa, or Shuwa Arab) and English is required.
