Desired experience and qualifications


Degree in Marketing and Communications and/or Public Relations;
At least five years’ experience in a similar position, experience in an educational environment is a distinct advantage.


Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Develop and execute marketing strategy in line with school objectives;
Co-ordinate and manage... marketing campaigns, working collaboratively within a team;
Identify opportunities for increasing awareness, enquiries, and enrolments;
Cultivate media relationships and manage media liaison to generate maximum publicity;
Prepare press releases and manage all media messaging;
Plan, produce and manage content for social media and digital platforms;
Engage and foster relationships with feeder schools and community organisations;
Conduct competitor research;
Market SAHETI at exhibitions and other events;
Conduct school tours for prospective parents/students;
Compile and update promotional material; oversee layout, design, and production process;
Proofread and edit documents and articles, as required;
Identify and negotiate advertising opportunities, provide input on content and final approval;
Ensure consistent application of school brand and identity;
Provide input and support for school events;
Work closely with service providers in planning and achieving photo/video shoot outcomes;
Plan and control departmental budget;
Source promotional gifts for various requirements;
Uphold the traditions and ethos of the school;
Produce management reports.

The duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:


A recognized teaching qualification with a specialisation in Primary Education and/or Mathematics;
Proven experience in teaching primary school mathematics with a track record of Grade 7 Mathematics teaching;
A passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire and engage young learners;
Strong interpersonal... and communication skills, with a personality suited to a community-focused environment;
Leadership abilities and experience in mentoring or leading a team of educators would be advantageous;
Current and Valid Registration with SACE;
Computer literacy and ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching and learning;
Current teaching experience in an ISASA school;
Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of SAHETI School.

Develop innovative lesson plans that build confidence and excitement for mathematics;

Engage with parents and the community to support student learning and development;
Participate actively in all school activities and contribute to the community spirit;
Monitor and support pastoral care of pupils;

Minimum Requirements

Keeping accurate observations of pupils and engage in continuous assessment so that their progress is continuously monitored and regularly reported on;
Developing and implementing a suitable classroom management system, establishing routines and effective rules for acceptable behaviour;
Catering for the personal wellbeing and general welfare of all students in your care;
Sharing in the responsibilities of organising and conducting extra and co-curricular activities as per the extra-curricular roster;
Adhering to the guidelines and requirements of the school’s calendar – in particular when scheduling student activities and assessments;
Assisting with the organisation of and attending school functions and events including, but not limited to, assemblies, staff workshops, festivals and parent evenings.
