FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMITTEE SHALL BE: 

To formulate policies for regulating the disbursement and management of bursaries, and scholarships; 
To advise the Executive Member on bursary disbursements, & scholarships 
To grant bursaries and scholarships 
Approve the list of beneficiaries to be granted bursaries and scholarships; elo receive any gifts, donations, grants or endowments made to the... fund and to make legitimate disbursements there from; 
To determine the maximum amount to be awarded to the eligible student to be granted as bursaries, scholarships in a particular year, To receive and consider appeals for aggrieved applicant; and to perform any other functions for implementation of these regulations. 

QUALIFICATIONS. 

A person is qualified for appointment as a committee member if that person: 

Minimum education background K.C.S.E. or its equivalent. 
Must have a working experience either in education, Public Service and 
Administration or business for minimum of 3yrs. 
Registered with National Council of Persons with disalbility

QUALIFICATIONS 

A person is quaified for appointment as a Chairperson of the committee if that person is: 

A resident of Embu County 
Is a holder of at least a bachelor's degree from a University recognized in Kenya and with a working experience in either the education sector, administration or business of five year1s;

Prepare a list of would be beneficiaries 
Submit list of would be beneficiaries to the County Education Support Fund Committee 
Any other duty that may be assigned to it by the Fund Manager

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS. 

Minimum KCSE... certificate 
Excellent knowledge of word processing, tools, spreadsheets and data base (Ms office Word, Excel, Power point and Access). 
Working knowledge of office equipment, Computer hardware and peripheral devices
