About the role

The Community and Youth Engagement Officer (State Coordinator) is a pivotal part of the Christian Aid Nigeria Programme, providing necessary management and coordination of the Sustainable Entrepreneurship-Led Poultry Transformation Program (SEPTP) a Mastercard Foundation Funded Programme for Young Persons in Nigeria project at the state level. The role holder will collaboratively... work with the Senior Specialist Livestock to operationalize CA Nigeria's youth engagement strategy at the state level. The state coordinator is responsible for the management and delivery of the project at the state level, coordination of the state project team, and representing the project at an institutional level, with the state Government and with other key stakeholders. The role holder will collaborate with the country team, consortium members, sub-partners, and project participants to implement innovatively, and ensure that this is in line with Christian Aid’s country strategy.

About you

The role holder must have a first-degree qualification in agriculture, project management, social science, development, or other relevant, a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant proven experience in project management and implementation with a strong understanding of youth development, and strong analytical skill sets, proven leadership experience in motivating and leading teams and solving, experience in planning, developing and managing donor-funded programmes, as well as cognate familiarity of complex project designs, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as livestock management systems, familiarity with State/Context.

About the role

The role holder will support the implementation of the Sustainable Entrepreneurship-Led Poultry Transformation Program (SEPTP) a Mastercard Foundation Funded Programme for Young Persons in Nigeria with a special focus on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL). He/she will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of SEPTP’s MEAL programme... providing effective and timely support (including capacity building) to programme participants and/or partner consortium organizations. About you

About the role

The primary objectives of this short-term consultancy are:

To create visually engaging and informative graphics that visually represent governance structures of international financial institutions and disparities.
To craft key messages that effectively convey the issues related to governance deficiencies in international financial institutions and how the same disproportionately undermines... the development efforts of developing countries.
To use the case of the August 2021 SDR allocation as a focal point for highlighting the structural deficiencies in the governance of international financial institutions and the urgent need for reform.

Deliverables:

Creating a series of infographics, share graphics, charts, and visuals in various formats that effectively communicate the key concepts of SDRs and depict governance structures and
Crafting key messages that succinctly and persuasively convey the structural deficiencies in governance.

The Ideal Candidate
Designing graphics and key messages to illustrate the structural deficiencies in the governance of financial institutions, requires a strategic approach to communicate complex information effectively. This assignment requires a highly skilled and experienced individual in graphic design for online engagement. Specifically, the ideal candidate must have the following the qualifications:

At least five years of continuous working experience in developing layout and production design with Non-Governmental Organizations (UN and other international organizations)
A minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design experience for online materials (website, social media).
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) or other industry-standard design tools.
Strong creative and artistic skills, including the ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative design solutions and messages.
A keen eye for detail to ensure that designs are visually appealing and error-free.
Ability to use simple and easily understandable language in the key messages to reach a broader audience.
Demonstrable experience in developing graphics and messages that re visually engaging, with a clear focus on the issue of governance.

Duration of the Consultancy: This consultancy will commence on 1st November 2023 and is to be completed by 30th November 2023.

About the role
The Human Resources & Administration Manager is responsible for ensuring that HR management strategy and functions are carried out effectively within the Kenya Country Office, in order to achieve the organization’s business objectives.  Responsible to ensure that the HR policies and practices are understood and applied effectively, fairly and cost efficiently throughout the office....   To be responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing essential HR Management, Employee Information management and HR administrative and operational systems within the country and to enable the team function smoothly and effectively. About you
The role is positioned within the Finance and operations Family and its focus is to ensure core Human Resource & Administration systems function effectively in the country programme. The role will directly support management with staff and other service provider recruitment, selection, induction and performance management, learning and development, governance and compliance and effective line management of human resource and administration staff.
The role is jointly responsible for making strategic decisions with other country leadership team members; and plays a significant role in shaping the country office’s team structure, culture and ability to use systems effectively. It manages CA property and it sources and secures various contracts (with suppliers, service providers, consultants). The role is heavily involved in recruitment of new staff and ensures that staff are properly inducted.
It is responsible for all health, safety and security issues pertaining to staff and visitors. The role has a strategic influence, e.g. involvement in setting the country programme’s strategic direction and developing and managing budgets within the country offices. The role is keenly involved in change processes including implementation of new policies and systems as they are rolled out. The role works closely with the Security Adviser to support the CM in security management, initiates health and safety training in-country, and ensures effective resourcing of health and safety for all staff (e.g. fire extinguishers). About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a mid-level climate change and energy professional to support our policy and advocacy projects on climate justice and energy access in a way that maximises relevance to and impact in Africa. The post aims to lead Christian Aid’s energy strategy, focusing on the African continent. Within the energy transition out of fossil fuels and into the renewables... framework, this post will seek opportunities to advance the renewable energy access agenda at the national and regional levels and strategic opportunities to connect to global processes.   This role is recruited on a national contract basis.
Reporting to the Climate Justice Lead, you be the focal point for implementing a specific project on energy access which will focus on shifting finance out of fossil fuels and into renewable energy and researching the role of MDBs in financing renewable energy. You will align the climate justice and energy access policy and advocacy with the country priorities in the Africa Division, the  Christian Aid Strategy ‘Standing together’ and the Global Climate Justice policy and advocacy strategy. You will provide strategic support to partners and helps deliver high-quality interventions, requiring a solid understanding of the pan-African and key national contexts.
You will also undertake additional work with the Christian Aid global team and African regional partners on policy and advocacy towards implementing the Paris agreement on climate change, loss & damage and ensuring adequate climate funding for adaptation, loss and damage, mitigation and resilience is targeted to most vulnerable communities.
About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to be quick, approachable and adaptable.
You will Master's qualification in any subject related to climate sciences, international development or any related degree with at least five years of senior management experience.
