As a Product Manager at Angaza, you will:


Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve significant challenges in global development and tackle usability issues inherent in our domain.

Work closely with the Senior Product Manager to define and execute product strategies.
Work closely with the Engineering team to design, build and deliver product improvements.


Responsibilities


Product Development: Lead the development of our core platform, APIs, web and Android-based products in collaboration with our designers and engineers.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and own key performance metrics and OKRs, utilizing data to inform product decisions.
Customer Engagement: Gather and prioritize product feedback from customers across Africa, India, Latin America, and other regions.
Stakeholder Management: Thoughtfully communicate with and manage expectations of stakeholders to prioritize the team’s work effectively and ensure maximum impact.
Release Planning: Develop and represent release plans for upcoming product releases.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering leaders on continuous improvement of development and delivery processes.
Roadmap Prioritization: Lead key discussions on product roadmap prioritization with internal teams and partners.


Required Skills, Attributes & Experience

Qualifications


Experience: 3-5 years of product management experience in mobile and web applications. Experience in SaaS and consumer lending in emerging markets is a plus.
Adaptability: Proven ability to quickly understand new domains and become effective within a short timeframe, and willingness to adapt to changing product priorities.
Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven approach to product development. Proficiency in using Google / Microsoft suite applications, BI analytics tools like Tableau / Looker / PowerBI. Experience writing sql/psql to query a database directly is a plus.   
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and collaborate effectively.
Technical Acumen: Comfortable diving into technical details, including code and architecture, to fully understand issues.
Global Perspective: Experience working with international users and customers is highly desirable, particularly in emerging markets/sub saharan Africa.
Problem-Solving: Ability to balance productive processes with creative thinking to solve complex problems.

Angaza’s Customer Success Managers (CSMs) are the face of Angaza and are responsible for orchestrating a superior customer experience. This position joins a team of CSMs who focus on proactive customer engagement to identify growth opportunities and mitigate against business risk. Our Customer Success team promotes overall customer satisfaction and product adoption through... optimizing the value our customers gain from the Angaza platform. This role will be responsible for independently managing a portfolio of both English and French speaking customers and ensuring their success with Angaza’s comprehensive suite of software tools. This position is domiciled in Nairobi with occasional international travel and reports to the Manager of Customer Experience. Responsibilities

Help our customers optimize their use of our software platform to effectively sell life-changing products to end-users at scale  
Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
Effectively communicate the value of the Angaza platform via scheduled meetings and business reviews
Become an expert in Angaza’s software products and provide recommendations to suit varying customer needs
Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and customer personnel

Required Experience

BS/BA degree in relevant technical/educational field
Minimum of 4 years experience managing relationships with enterprise, mid market and SMB customers, for a software or technical product
Demonstrated track record of managing and nurturing B2B customer relationships and retaining/building accounts; experience in a start-up context a strong plus
Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously at various stages
Comfort with technology and digital tools
Ability to represent Angaza at industry events and with existing customers
Outstanding written and spoken language ability in English
Skilled at data analysis
Excellent attention to detail

The Role
The market insights manager will primarily focus on using insights drawn from research and data analysis to provide strategic guidance and direction that will influence commercial decision making on what to sell (product offerings),  where to sell (market segmentation and penetration) and who to sell to (customer segmentation). Based in Kenya, this role will own the on-the-ground... research and  customer needs assessment functions, and collaborate with multiple departments including sales, CX, product, etc to plan, execute, analyze & report the findings and eventually propose strategies that are commercially viable, customer centric and deliver competitive advantage.

Customer Insights

Oversee the planning and execution of all on-the-ground research (including research planning, questionnaire design, fieldwork monitoring, analysis & reporting) as informed by business needs.
Elevate the voice of the customer within the organization by developing an in-depth knowledge of the customer, product segments and overall market landscape.

Requirements Filtering & Data Analysis

Analyze requirements gathered from multiple sources and filter them to guide on the most impactful actions to take by various segments of the business. 
Act as the bridge between Business Intelligence and the commercial team (sales & marketing)  to develop dashboards, reports and other performance data related solutions that influence marketing decision making.
Support monthly, quarterly, annual planning activities of the commercial team with relevant and timely reports, analysis and insights.

Oversee the use of best practices in user-centered instructional design to develop multimedia content, including: interactive Learning Management System (LMS) modules, help center articles, social media, videos, screenshots and diagrams, etc.
