Capture how climate change and gender inequality affect women’s lives and livelihoods.

Scope of Work

Story Collection


Conduct in-depth interviews with 5–10 women (including at least two with a disability).
Focus on personal and community-level transformation, participation in GRACC, and future aspirations.


Photography


Capture 5–10 high-quality photos of elevated interviewee (portrait, action, and environmental shots).
Include wide landscape photos and ensure images are respectful and empowering.


Videography


Record 2–3 video interviews and relevant b-roll footage (daily life, project activities).
Footage should be suitable for short-form storytelling and social media.


Deliverables


5–10 written case studies (400–600 words) with transcripts.
50 – 100 photos of elevated project participants and 5–10 organized photo sets in RAW and JPEG formats.
2–3 video interviews, raw footage, and optionally edited versions.
Signed consent forms and brief background/observation notes for each case.

Education:

Technical compatibility and deliverables:


All content should be shot in 16:9 aspect ratios. Standard Definition (SD) footage should be in PAL format, High Definition (HD) footage should be at 50i or 25p frame rates.

The consultant is expected to use their own work equipment for the duration of the assignment.
While many interviewees are based in Abuja, some are located outside the city.

However, if physical travel outside Abuja becomes necessary, ActionAid Nigeria will cover the associated travel, accommodation, and per diem costs.

Scan for Vulnerabilities - Check for spam that may have surpassed filters.
Repairs and Fixes - Checking for errors, bugs, and broken links.
Browser Compatibility Testing - Ensure that all aspects of AAIK website are functioning correctly in the most common browsers.
Software Update - Includes the content management system, its themes, and plugins. Also, upgrade of non-critical... software if they are worth applying.
Website Backups - Ensuring that website backups are performed every week.
Site Speed - Ensuring that the AAIK website's speed is above per.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - Identify the issues which are affecting the ranking of the AAIK website.
Analytics - Through the Google Analytics dashboard, check the crucial metrics of the AAIK site and the trends in those key metrics.
Functionality - Check all the essential functions like filling up signing, contact, and checkout forms to ensure everything works smoothly.
Website Content - Regularly review of content, correct mistakes, and upload new information with targeted words in a fresh style.

Required Qualifications:

A University degree in computer science/ IT or any other related qualification
Demonstrated hands-on work with Graphics and images
Previous experience in websites for charities, NGOs, or campaigning organizations.
Experience using web analytics platforms (preferably Google Analytics), with the degree of proficiency required to run reports.
Experience working with various Content Management Systems (including Drupal).
Experience managing a ticket-based maintenance backlog for website development.
Experience in developing in-depth audience insights and flexible tools to respond to engagement opportunities.
Experience managing websites with multiple functionalities - e.g., fundraising, supporter engagement, and policy informing.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Media Officer to join our Campaigns and Communications team at ActionAid International as we prepare to launch a new global campaign for climate justice.

As Media Officer, you will develop and deliver creative on-message media materials including press releases, stories, statements and opinion pieces across a variety of topics. Often working under... pressure in response to large scale humanitarian emergencies.
Ideally with previous experience working in a press office, you’ll have experience managing competing priorities, responding to incoming media requests and developing and delivering PR plans which support the organisation’s strategic priorities.. Your expertise will support with the effective delivery of international media moments, linked to multi-country campaigns and core comms priorities, including climate justice,women’s rights and youth involvement.
You’ll use your exceptional communication skills to build relationships and work closely with ActionAid countries to amplify their visibility and develop stories with both national and international significance.

You should have:

At least two years of experience working in a press team or in public relations in an International Non-Goverment Organisation or similar organisation.
Excellent written and communication skills–withexperience writing press releases, reactive Q&As, key messages, features, opinion pieces, letters to editor and blogs – producing accurate work to a high standard particularly under tight deadlines. 
Demonstrable experience of juggling multiple workloads, prioritising as needed under pressure, to deliver a high quality of work at all times.
Proven experience of liaising with journalists.
Experience devising and producing successful proactive media campaigns.
Excellent news sense and proven experience in identifying,pitching and getting coverage for an engaging story.
Experience using media monitoring services (e.g. Vuelio or Gorkana) with the degree of proficiency required to run reports and provide others with basic training.
Good understanding of international development, climate justice and/or women’s rights issues, civil society activism and effective campaigning is desirable.

Main purpose
The holder of the position shall be responsible for coordination of AAIK’s programmes on Land and Resilient Livelihoods and its intersectionality. S/he is responsible for leading delivery of high quality, innovative, programmes linking development – climate change – peace nexus resulting in immediate and lasting change for communities living in poverty and exclusion.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, agriculture, policy development or its equivalent from a recognized University;
Have Five (5) years minimum working experience in the land, and livelihoods sector with At least 3 years’ experience in project management;

Experience in policy and campaign and local, national, and global level;
Experience working with women groups and persons with disabilities is desirable;

Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst supports the long term and operational financial planning and reporting for the Federation and the International Secretariat, including audit and aggregated financial reports for the organisation on a quarterly and annual basis and for the review of these reports. A key focus of the role will be to analyse the information received to provide effective... management information for AAI and the wider Federation. Works closely across other functions including Fundraising and Institutional Funding teams and with the Global Insight and Funding Analyst to produce financial information so as to analyse income and expenditure trends and support countries on financial Planning and Reporting.
Who we're looking for:

You should have a Degree or Honours Degree in finance or a business related field, a complete or part professional accounting qualification (e.g CA,ACCA,ACA,CPA,CIMA). 
Good experience in financial planning and reporting is essential.
You should also have experience of financial consolidation/aggregation packages and/or databases as well as experience of Computerized accounting packages.
