An economist with over 19 years of experience in economic, socio-economic, trade, and development fields, both in-person and remote settings:
- I have deeply led and been involved in the development and implementation of policies and strategies that aim to ensure various actors including federal, state, and local government levels, Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), international and regional partners such as UN, World Bank (WB), Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), EU, OACP-EU, African Regional Economic Communities-RECs (e.g., AU, COMESA, IGAD) are in harmony and aligned. Furthermore, I have been actively involved in bilateral and multilateral cooperation with organizations such as The UK & Overseas Development Institute (ODI), USAID, JICA, TICA, China, African and Arab countries, and WTO. Lastly, I have also contributed to people diplomacy, particularly with China.
- Exposure to international standards and good practices through various means such as training, workshops, seminars, study tours, and conferences in different countries to facilitate learning by doing.
- A certified as competent in social policy for development planners, and knowledgeable and experienced in mobilizing resources, leading, guiding, managing, and supervising development programs (Project Management), coordinating stakeholders’ efforts, and building team spirit amongst them; ToT and coaching skills in delivering capacity/ training programs in the economic, development, and trade areas (designing the content and facilitating the training) and economic research (i.e. data management and data analysis, econometric modeling, publishing, etc.);

- Familiar with donors’ guidelines and procedures, including project management such as drafting and reviewing MoUs, identifying, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating processes, capacity building, etc.
- This experience includes 14 years as a program/operations officer for foreign-funded projects and 5 years as a director and assistant director;
- I have honed my skills in data analysis, critical thinking, communication, visualization, creativity, research, and econometric modeling techniques while working in economics. I use various strategies to identify trends in economic data, including regression (linear/nonlinear) and correlation analysis for quantitative analysis to understand the relationships between different variables. I am proficient in software programs like Excel, SPSS, STATA, E-Views, and I have some basic R, Python, and Matlab knowledge to analyze large datasets. Additionally, I often use qualitative techniques such as SWOT analysis to gain more insights into the data when needed. Apart from my foreign language skills in Arabic (mother tongue), English (fluent), and basic skills in French and Chinese, I possess other soft skills such as integrity, organization, time management, leadership, coordination, and teamwork, especially in multicultural settings.
