  • Duties include: Teaching small groups and 1:1 students.
  • Helps students with the development of social, vocational, communication, etiquette and job searching skills, Follows and implements Behavior Intervention Plans and provides feedback upon request. Supports teachers in mainstream classrooms with special education students as needed. Performs related tasks as required, Supports instruction to individuals or small groups of students with special needs as assigned, Supervises students upon arrival and departure at school and throughout the school day, Observes, monitors, and reports behavioral data of students according to approved procedures
  • Assists with adapting classroom activities, assignments and/or materials for the purpose of supporting special education students, Responds quickly to crisis situations including helping support a student who is in crisis for any number of reasons, Assists students by providing appropriate modeling, emotional support, a friendly attitude, and general guidance, Communicates with teachers and assigned staff regarding student progress and needs.
  • Additionally, I have been placed in the Visual Communication Design and Animation Class (its combined) at the High school I was working at long-term. I have assisted students with rebooting the MacBook Minis, assisting students with programs like Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe Illustrator, checking on the 3D Printers in the back rooms, watching over the students when the teacher had to step out for a bit, and even assisting another Substitute with any questions if they have never been in the Visual Communication/Animation class.
